getting one for me 88 years old. bought for a 10 year old. she loves it.
They are both fun and challenging. Blokus Trigon I get together with four other ladies every Tuesday to play games and we enjoy both the Blokus and Blokus Trigon games.
At a recent family gathering of all ages, someone was playing this game at all hours. My husband and I are in our 60s and addicted to it. Teaches strategy.
This purchase was for my grandson's 5th birthday. For everyone else, though, it is a super game. Our family just recently discovered this game.
Like chess, but not so tedious and slow-moving. Try it ~ you'll love it. He is not a typical 5-year-old, however, as he is exceptionally focused and very bright.
I would not recommend this game for most kids under 8 or 9.

You can explain the game in less than a couple of minutes and be playing almost immediately. That is the key. In a world of games requiring me to decide whether I would rather be a horse's hoof or ride a boat to the East Indies, Blockus Trigon is a refreshing return to thought, strategy and simplicity.It is a wonderful game which challenges the player to plan their moves. But, it is also simple to learn.
